Good day everyone, first I would like to take the time to thank
everyone who stopped by and read my postings on both twitter (@mjwoodland17) and the Facebook page (mjwoodland17). After taking some advice from a couple
friends to start writing about my enjoyment with shooting, it opened my eyes to
how people react to your views and opinions on matters that are dear to them as
well. From reading other blogs to watching reviews on YouTube shows how this
community of shooting enthusiasts come together by sharing knowledge. Many
citizens go a step further by putting together fundraisers to assist those who
are in need. Regardless of your reason for pulling the trigger, lets all get
out there and have fun. This form of positive togetherness will keep me around
for many years to come.
There are a couple projects in the works and the outcomes should
be interesting. We are having a contest for the one who can come up with a logo
for the 'Urban Gun Enthusiast'. The selected winner will receive $200 and a free shirt
with the winning logo. The rules to this contest are simple, draw a cool and
catching logo and if selected you win. You can even do multiple entries with
different logos to increase your chance to win. The logo design can be in a
digital format or drawn free hand. We are judging more on marketability and
originality (in other words, if its catchy you have a better chance of
winning). Email your submissions to shirtcontest17@gmail.com and please ensure
it is in JPEG format.
Another project in the works is the donation tab on the right hand
side of the page. The gofundme tab is a donation tab where you can
contribute for the assistance of competing within the IDPA, USPSA, and 3 Gun
Competition. Those who
contribute will receive a shirt with the winning logo as discussed above and a
silicon bracelet with the company name when formulated. Pass the word and help
us raise money to compete in competitions. For those who contribute more than
$500, you will be contacted about having your company logo somewhere on our
competition shooting shirt or hat. Before you ask, your logo will stay on the
shirt for the complete shooting season.
Our last project that is in the works will be formulating a
shooting school. This shooting school will teach those interested in honing in
their skills or assisting new shooters in finding their niche. We will be
focusing more on the handgun and rifles in the AR platform family. We are still
coming up with a lesson plan to make it challenging but fun at the same time.
Continue to check back on twitter and Facebook page for updated details.
