This week has started off on a positive note for us over at M-W Tactical. Currently there is a commercial being aired on the radio station 'Sunny 100' advising of the classes being taught by us. We received three sample patches from a company in Las Vegas, NV by the name of 'Mutiny Shop'. We were so impressed with them that we ordered more that will be available for purchase. As of right now anyone who registers and attends any of the first three classes after 1 June 2014, will receive a free patch after registering and attendance of the class. To inform everyone, it is our intent to give each student who attends our class a free shirt and that is being worked out now with our sponsor 'Enlisted Nine Fight Company'. The one factor that capped out the week for us and had us smiling from ear to ear was the opportunity to speak with members of the 'TRUGLO' company.

Since doing some training with reaction shooting and competition shooting, I have taken more notice of my front sights. All of my sights are green, and in the event I am moving fast while squeezing the trigger at the same time while bringing the weapon on target, my first round does not impact on the spot for which it is intended. I came to the conclusion that if my front sight was a different color this could correct the first round mishap. Of course if there is a chance of it helping me shoot better, I will give it a shot. So my travels took me to a local gun store where I was informed that there is no sight combination like that anywhere on the market. After hearing this heart dropping news but my mind not prone to giving up so easily, the drive home had me thinking of many different options. Of course the option has to stay within the means of my budget, but where there is a will there is a way. I decided to call a buddy who is big on shooting and like the gun store he says this product is not in the market. Still refusing to give up, my thought process took me to my computer where I emailed a company called 'TRUGLO'. Within 24 hours I recieved a reply from a customer service manager named Kevin, in which he replied that they could accommodate my request. This puts a smile on my face. A few days later I replied back to Kevin's email to inform him that I am ready to move forward with getting the front sight. Kevin requested that I call him to place this order, so that is what I did. Come to find out his voice message stated he would be out of the office till Tuesday, which would have meant a whole four days of waiting. Let me tell you what good of customer service this company has, another representative contacted me in regards to the sights by the name of Brandon (I think that is what he said, I was shuffling papers at the time but I do apologize if I got your name wrong). Brandon, as he will be called in this letter until I can verify his name, chatted with me extensively and actually answered my questions without any BS or theatrics (It was almost like a session of bro-mance going on). He was delighted to see their company name on the M-W Tactical site, but I was just more impressed that I recieved a call that I would be getting the sights after being told it could not happen. Maybe one day the 'TRUGLO' company and myself can get some range time in. In my opinion 'TRUGLO' is a company that is about the customer as well as stand behind their products. This is a company that I will be telling everyone about.

Bri at the 'Mutiny Shop' is another person that is giving M-W Tactical a constant face within the community. We were looking for a Velcro patch to put on our bags, hats, and jackets and never really considered only giving it to the members of M-W Tactical. Then after recieving the sample patches myself and Jason placed one on our hats and walked around. Since Derrick does not wear hats that allows a patch to be attached, the third patch was placed on chest rig that is worn when training is being conducted. One Friday night Jason decided that we needed to hang out and let off some steam. We went to our local hangout and upon walking up and greeting everyone we realized that there seemed to be a genuine interest in the patch we were wearing. Our first buddy cut the conversation and asked if he could get a patch to put on his hat. Then the there were a group of people wanting a patch to put on their gear as well. The message was relayed that more are coming but then Jason directed everyone to the site and started handing out fliers and business cards. It was our intent to use the patches as more like an employee badge but the sudden interest in the patch totally took us off guard. It was just another unexpected event that made us realize that we are making an impact on people.
